Mar-30-02, 06:05 PM (EST) "Missing Consist" I am disappointed that consist can't be left on sidings any other way than by saving the activity. I would like to add consist to the switch yards so it looks more real. There is nothing worse than a bare switch yard. Am I missing something? How can I leave consist in a yard so its there the next time the activity is used? I dont want to save the activity because then there does not appear to be any way to leave more consist in the activity. Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Mar-30-02, 06:54 PM (EST) 1. "RE: Missing Consist" Darrel, yes it is possible to fill your yards and sidings with consists using the Activity Editor. Take any activity, open it in the Activity Editor, add consists where ever you like and then save the activity. Then everytime you play the activity the consist will be where you put them.If you aren't familiar with the Activity Editor you might want to read the documentation that comes with MSTS or better yet purchase a copy of "Step-by-Step Guide to Trainsim Activities" by Richard Garber. Get it at http://trainsimulatorworld.com/railyard/ for $10. In my opinion it's a good investment to get the most out of Train Sim.If you are somewhat familiar with the Activity Editor. Open up an activity, place your mouse cursor over the exact spot you want to place a consist, a small circle will appear on the track, right click and chose "Place Consist". A dialog box will open from which you can chose an existing consist or create a new one. Once on the track, you can move the consist around with the mouse and right click on it to bring up another dialog box with choices.Save your activity and the consist will remain where you put it and will show up when you run the activity.

Short answer: NOPut that one on the great bug- and wishlist for MSTS.The PortOgden 5 is so developed that the Activities turn out to be a kind of Explore Route. But most routes aren't setup that way.Dick van den Hoven
