Jun-22-01, 10:04 PM (EST) "Decoupling at Cutbank Crossover." Hello,I tried that neat-looking fix where you change the break value in the engine files from 1.xxx to 5.xxx. It didn't help, I can still spill millions of gallons of toxic waste everywhere.I have a thought. Could KUJU have put the wrong speed limit at that section? There's a sign that warns you need to slow to 30mph when you're westbound towards the crossovers. But could the route have been programmed for 3mph instead?I ask this because I can get an 8-loco/100-car consist across this crossover without any problems, but I have to stay near 2-3mph or it will eventually decouple. And let me tell you, keeping a pig like that at such a crawl is like giving an enema to a hungry lion. Not that I would know, of course...

Jun-23-01, 08:04 AM (EST) 3. "RE: Decoupling at Cutbank Crossover." Worked for me. Have not had an incident at Cutbank or mp 1152.2 since changing coupler values. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jun-23-01, 08:45 PM (EST) 4. "RE: Decoupling at Cutbank Crossover." I also changed all of the coupler values, but still have some trouble at Cutbank. I have a west bound unit grain train of 4 Dash-9s, 110 grain cars, and 2 more Dash-9s. Before the coupler change (also without the rear end helpers) I would get five or six cars through at the most (except for the time I got most if not all of the train through only to derail just west of Cutbank). Now I can get all but the last 5-6 cars through, unless I maintain l0 mph or less for the entire train through that crossover. Know how long it takes to get that train past a given point at that speed???? Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jun-23-01, 10:24 PM (EST) 5. "RE: Decoupling at Cutbank Crossover." If you're talking about the spot right before the bridge, I've had the same problem at all speeds. However, when I tried starting Explore Route at "west of cutbank" (which starts you on the siding) there was not problem going over the same spot. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
