Mar-05-02, 05:31 PM (EST) "Train Sim Modeler Problems!" LAST EDITED ON Mar-05-02 AT 05:34 PM (EST)Well now I've done it! I was going along so nicely with B&M 3713 and other projects until v 1.1 came out. I am at a loss of what to do. After I remodeled 3713, i went to "Convert to TS object file" and I have no idea how to set it up to convert it to a steam locomotive. Is there any way that it can follow the set up of the conversion from before I upgraded because now it won't find the locomotive folder the orignal TSM converter was hooked up to to convert it. Please Help!!!!!!!!!!! Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Mar-06-02, 01:51 AM (EST) 1. "RE: Train Sim Modeler Problems!" Start by taking a look at the Project Properties screen. There are some big changes there. You need to tell TSM what kind of model it is to begin with and if it's animated you'll need to enter how many animation frames. If it's a steam model you should find that it will be easier to set animation since the hierachy linking for the parts is now fixed. Previously animated parts will move when defining additional animated parts. Sound and Cab files will be written for you which are aliased to an existing model that you can choose and a basic ENG file is produced based on a template in the Resources folder. There are new reference part names to define light positions and where you want the smoke to appear. These positions will be written to the ENG after which you'll only need to go into it to set the final physics for braking and power.Stew

Mar-06-02, 03:02 PM (EST) 2. "RE: Train Sim Modeler Problems!" Yes but on the old conversion screen after I made changes, it still knew the path to the folder for the locomotive, this one doesn't. How can I make the changes show up in the locomotive folder that I made up with the old conversion program? Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
