Mar-05-02, 05:07 PM (EST) 6. "RE: Kicking Horse Pass Route" Seeing as how the Laggan Sub is my back yard, and I'm pretty familiar with the Banff-Field area, I'll be posting my impressions once I get a copy.. Hmm.. Maybe I should take the digicam out and do comparison, screenshot vs. reality.
I know Jason et al have done a bang up job with this, it should be a blast!! (especialy westbound onto Field <G>)cheers

I have ordered mine. I had some trouble with PayPal - it kept showing my address as Curacao instead of Canada. I think I finally goy it straightened out

Mar-05-02, 10:56 PM (EST) 11. "RE: Kicking Horse Pass Route" Well, I have to complain here. Why the hell one have to pay in US currency? As far as I know that company is a Canadian one.And no possibility to pay by Visa? As to me, it's not a good start

Mar-05-02, 11:00 PM (EST) 12. "RE: Kicking Horse Pass Route" Since the sales will be international, US funds are a known world standard. Easier to do the math. As for VISA not sure.

by Paypal and by mail with money order or verified check only.
No Visa mentionned anywhere!

>John I've never used PayPal before. I have two questions: 1) Do I have to join PayPal if I just need to send a payment one time only?2) Does PayPal deduct an additional fee from my credit card for using their service
or do they just charge the price for the item and the person receiving the money pays for this service?I'm asking because I have heard some horror stories and wanted to be sure how this operates before remitting.
Obviously, you can see I'm not an E-Bay junkie. Thanks for your help.....Lance

Mar-06-02, 01:06 AM (EST) 15. "RE: Kicking Horse Pass Route" Ok now this is a VERY FAIR PRICE. 3Dtrains is overpriced and frnakly not worth it.With 10$ where would I put it... for 1 locomotive OR A FANTASTIC ROUTE AND LOTS OF locomotives. I have no idea why 3dtrains does that.

2. It's 10 dollars plus 5 shipping. I'm sure somewhere in there is buried a fee, but not advertised that way.David Klemm

>David Klemm Thanks David,Just wanted to hear it from someone who is familiar with how PlayPal functions. I glanced through PlayPals fine print but couldn't find anything. I figured someone has to cough up a small percentage of the total bill to pay PlayPal for use of their services and wasn't sure whether it was the buyer or seller. I would think the seller as this happens when using most credit cards. Appreciate your thoughts David.Lance

Mar-06-02, 10:59 AM (EST) 20. "RE: Kicking Horse Pass Route" John "ATSFDUDE" TackettThanks for your comments. That puts the entire process in perspective and very understandable. This order will give me a good excuse for signing up in Play Pal and I will no doubt find other internet uses for it in the future. Seems like they really know what they're doing. I realize internet security, while not perfect, has certainly advanced in recent years and probably the way to go these days. Your comments were a big help to me and much appreciated.Lance

Mar-06-02, 07:54 PM (EST) 23. "RE: Kicking Horse Pass Route" Man, you guys are so lucky you've got credit cards. I've been waiting so long for this route(mostly the loco's) and now that I see there's no way to pay without a credit card, don't have a printer either, I'm so sad. :') I really wanted the loco's the most. I hope you guys enjoy it, at least I can enjoy the free CP loco's here.Matt

Mar-08-02, 04:21 AM (EST) 32. "RE: Kicking Horse Pass Route" This has been asked over and over. I dont work for them so I dont know for sure but the reason they probily choose the American dollar is because US money is readly accepted in Canada, unlike where in the US you have to get canadan money converted to spend here. Another thing is because they probily relize that even though this is a Canadian route most of the buyers will be American. In a sense this makes it easyer for both partys. And at $10 (plus shiping) is still a good deal. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
