Mar-02-02, 11:59 PM (EST) "Ohio & West Virginia Railroading update" A legal wrangle caused work stoppage on the route. This has been settled and work now continues. New pics have been posted, please see the webpage at www.edmfamily.com/msts/bo.htm. Pics page has pics too.Message Areas - "Ohio & West Virginia Railroading update" – image 1The engines are TaFan's gp9 repaints of 3dtrains GP9 and Chris Bonelli's Humble Pie tanker car. I believe these are repaints I don't know who did the tanker car. The trucks on these tankers are unbelieveably good!Rich Garber

Mar-03-02, 09:52 AM (EST) 3. "RE: Ohio & West Virginia Railroading update" I hate to put a date on this because I love route building and it's hard not to go back in there and change or tweak something. Someone asked me the same question in the Route Design forum where I posted the same thread so there's more detail about what's happening behind the scene in that one. But I would like to have the route in BETA by this weekend. And then add one week after BETA. The BETA will only be done by a few people. Some of the guys doing prototype work need to see the route before release so they can give me some quick pointers. I've been working alot with Jason Roberts, the W&LE engineer, which he has been tremendously helpful in getting alot of the stuff that I thought would happen in BETA done before it.Unlike the Metro, this route is not a 'it's done!' and I'm off on another route. Like the Port Gumby.. heh heh couldn't resist! I do plan expansion of the route. One route (now everyone get out your USA maps of Ohio and West Virginia...) will expand further into West Virginia down towards Parkersburg and up to Wheeling WV. The other side will expand towards Columbus Ohio. Pretty good stretch of track there. There's another expansion point I haven't figured what to do with it yet. How those expansions will be added will be decided then. Never do today what you can put off til then, eh? Rich Garber Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Mar-03-02, 01:43 PM (EST) 4. "RE: Ohio & West Virginia Railroading update" Glad to see your spirits are back Rich......Keep up the good work and never let one man spoil your ambitious inspirational attitude. Especially after you've worked so hard in order for others to enjoy this hobby, I want you to know that your true friends here will never doubt your personality. Those of us that know you ( And are sane ) know you're a good man. Now....Not to bust the mood.....But better call 'ol Perry back to the courtroom.....( First let him finnish the Chessie Activities..... )....For the legal battles may go on. You see....Even though I told him "NOT" to.....A buddy of ours let the door hit him in the ass on the way out of Zanesville. The door fell off the hinges for obvious reasons, and landed on Sniper's car, blasting the windshiled. After returning from his once over undercover look around town, Jim was heard to say : " I knew it!!!! They found me out!!! I'll get you Garber!!! You'll pay!!!" Maybe we could settle out of court in exchange for the phone number of your girlfriend along the new route? I looked for your old flame from Metro along the new PO&N.....I wanted to see if she'd like cab ride.....But Jim seems smart enough to keep her away from railroaders..... That reminds me.....Forgive my abscense, I've been passed out under a picnic table after drinking some of that root beer that 'ol Perry spiced up at the OH&WVa cerimonial gathering. The last thing I remember is asking Meg to get down off the RS3 and take a look at my Golden Spike.....?!?!?!.....No hand imprints on my cheek and I can't find my pants.....What a party!!....Happy railroading......Jason.
