Feb-09-02, 09:17 AM (EST) "Poor steam" I can't believe that any of the downloaded steam engines are incapable of driving up Marias Pass! I can,t get one of them even up the steep incline east of West Coram. I remember huge steam locos in South Africa making short work up mountain passes - OK they had help from an extra engine. I even hitched up four Mikado's and they can't do it. Maybe I'm a poor driver.

Feb-09-02, 10:23 AM (EST) 1. "RE: Poor steam" How big a train are you pulling? Understand that the grades are exagerated on the MSTS version by about 4X the steepness. Also, on many of the steam engines, when starting out in the game, they have the engine brakes set. There is no indication of this, unless you are using the F5 key with full info shown (2 clicks). To release the steam engine's brakes use the left bracket key, to set them, the right bracket key (the ones right above the quote key).Steve Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Download and install marias3 route the designer spent 4 months
regrading the whole marias route.. did a good job with it too..
its avalable in the downloads section patm41
