Feb-03-02, 08:28 PM (EST) "GG1 Mega (mainly for newbies)" For those just starting with MSTS and can't help themselves (even if only on a dialup line), after installing GG1_Mega you'll get a couple of error messages when MSTS starts (a missing eng file and a missing wag file). Just press YES to continue and MSTS will start as normal. Also, when exiting, MSTS will prompt you with the same messages - just press YES to continue.One way to solve the problem (I think) is to download "via_lrc.zip" and "viacoach.zip" from here (doing that just now myself). There are other ways, but there's too many files to look thru (unless someone knows exactly which ones are causing the problems).Have just started with MSTS (my son's Chrissie present to me) and until began on this forum and the files for download, had never heard of a GG1 but have caught the tradition of this train and couldn't resist GG1_Mega when it became available the other day.Am about to put up a few pages on my site to promote MSTS here in Australia so will post them in a day or two. Will aim to give some hints & tips, and what I've learnt over the past few weeks.Happy training...

Open your
Program Files\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator\Trains\Consists
Folder and look for the following file..
VIALRCTalgo.con.orig or VIALRCTalgo.con
and delete it! That should solve the problem....
Did anybody else have the problem?? This is the first i've heard of it and had a chance to chase it down.....
If you have activity analysis it would find the bad consist for you.....

After deleting the consist, I forgot all about sending you an email, as I was having too much fun running the GG1 and NH EP5. Keep up the great work Rich S. Actually with permission of CLW... We repackaged the GG1s and made some running improvements....
All textures and .S files are now compressed to save disk space.
ENG files were blue printed...
SamSpade updated his cab....
New Horn that sounds more like a GG1
and the best part, they are all available all the time... No more texture changer....
This release is supposed to be the definative GG1 release until such time as CLW gets back into the game....
We intend to make running improvements from time to time as we develop new techniques....

"RE: GG1 Mega (mainly for newbies)" Just to complete my first post, and based on what my grey matter still has in storage...I renamed the offending consist in the consist folder with an extension of .bkp, re-ran MSTS and still got the message about missing eng and wag files. When I came to clobber the offending consist file, looking for it with extension "bkp", it had been renamed with a "con" extension.It may have been my imagination however or an important part of my grey matter has been cleared!Anyway, Carlos' ConBuilder is the best tool in these situations.And thanks for the great GG1 pack (even tho' it required patience to download over a slow dialip - well-worth the wait).Happy training...
