Feb-01-02, 03:40 PM (EST) "Where would be the best help for 'objects'?" I had downloaded a '57 Chevy, and some 2D 'people' to see if I can spice up the routes a bit. The 'Route Editor' is really difficult I find. What I'd like to do is put 'people' on the platform in Philladelphia Sta. and/or see some Chev's driving over the bridges as I come into Philly et al. Am I biting off something to big for a 'newbie' to begin with? I see this 'Engineers Handbook' for sale, as well as the 'Train Sim Modeller'. Is there anything that could be recomended to help guide me through the procedures that I should get? It isn't quite as easy as gluing people onto a model railroad is it? Feb-01-02, 04:15 PM (EST) 1. "RE: Where would be the best help for 'objects'?" Hmmm.. this is the second message I've seen about people...First, there are two versions of the flat people. The first version, they are very hard to place. The second version which Ron just released not to long ago, are incredibly easy to place. Unlike the first version, they don't completely disappear when you select them. They also need next to no rotating since you're getting the same image almost at every angle.To place the people on a platform, is easy too. Just place them on the ground nearby. Slide 'em over pressing the H key and using your mouse til there swallowed up by your platform. Then raise them up til you can see 'em. Rich's reply has sort of pointed me in the right direction: but I would also like to know how to put people into interior views like cabs and coaches.....help appreciated (Rich et al: I'm learnin' out here......)
