Feb-01-02, 04:07 AM (EST) "Which video card is best for MSTS?"
Hi all,I have MSTS and a 16Mb video card that OK for most other stuff, and average for MSTS.I was wondering if I were to buy a new card, which would it be? The only reason I'd upgrade was to use it for MSTS. I've heard of Radeon 8500, and there's Nvidea/GeoForceIII (or something like that) but opinions seem to be divided depending on why you want a 64Mb card.So do any MSTS users have opinions on which card to buy to get the most out of MSTS?I run Windows2000 and 384Mb RAM at 800MHz, PIII.Cheers folks!Graham Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Feb-01-02, 07:18 AM (EST) 1. "RE: Which video card is best for MSTS?" It all comes down to $. If you have them, get a GeForce 3, if you're a little shy of them, get a GeForce 2. Stay away from non-Nvidia cards. Nvidia are the only card company that comes out with enough drivers. Everyone else is too infrequent. Nobody has had a GeForce issue that another version of drivers hasn't fixed, and they seem to do well even in poorly ventilated chasis (like mine).-Andy

It will get you caught up on the service packs all at once and has much better Hardware/Software (particularly Plug-n-Pray and Direct X0 than 2000......------Chuck Schneider---------
