"RE: What do you think of this little project" LAST EDITED ON Jan-31-02 AT 07:30 AM (EST)I am trying to teach myself how to Animate the Gates, I have some really nice looking ones , also there may be a limitation in MSTS for the Lights - now I have "Cheated" a bit and put some lights - but they do not flash.
this is a night shot i took, I am still not happy totally with it but i think i am making progress.Any Volunteers to help me in this project?Jason Webb

Jan-31-02, 10:37 AM (EST) 5. "RE: What do you think of this little project" If there are more than ONE track at the crossing, a small rectangular plate should be attached below the crossbucks to inform/alert the automobile drivers of the NUMBER of tracks that must be crossed. The structure, relay boxes, etc look GREAT.Oh, there should be some stenciling on the side of relay box facing the roadway with a (FRA?) Crossing Identification and a 1-800 telephone number of the operating railroad company. Am suggesting only a 'blurry' script need be visible, with maybe the 1-800 more clearly visible. That would be the frosting on the cake!FlatWheel, former OPERATION LIFESAVER presenter. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Feb-01-02, 01:36 AM (EST) 6. "RE: What do you think of this little project" Oh oh oh, I will take one!! Can I make a suggestion? Could you make one with one less set of lights? The one I would need (the one in the photo) is used for a two lane road instead of a four.
If not, the one you made will work fine. By the way I love the lights shot at night!

Feb-01-02, 01:57 AM (EST) 7. "RE: What do you think of this little project" LAST EDITED ON Feb-01-02 AT 02:00 AM (EST)I will be doing shorter versions, I am running into a problem with tsm and animating scenery objects - so currently there are no gates, I have been using the default gates and laying this object over it, looks good so far, and i think flashing lights are out as well until i can find out how to animate these things in TSM. I am a beta tester but never got that far in depth.
here is another night shot - it is pretty dark
again if anyone wants to help me let me know jwebb4@cfl.rr.comJason Webb

>these over the default gates You know, really that might be a good way to do it. I'm familiar with at least a few of those types of crossing signals that don't have any gates.troub
