Jan-14-02, 02:12 PM (EST) "Please View All...Place a Picture of yourself on this Forum?" Hi Everyone, Please don't stone me but is it not possible to ask each and everyone posting here to upload a Picture of himself/herself. It is always great to read the postings and see the work done by the Various Simmers in our Community? However, Your names is already like part of our families, yet it would be GREAT to have a face put to those names.( Old, young, ugly, pretty etc. Does not matter.)
I, Promiss, that I'll place my ugly dail first, if there is a agreement to this thread.
Lets stand together.

Actually I'm the only one among my friends not riding a hog.
Here we are at the Swedish Bike Meet last year with The Hellmoppers.

Huge meet with about 8000 bikes, but it was raining so eveyone is huddling indoors. Prime requisite of this band is that the whole rig shold be transportable on the bikes. I had borrowed a flatbed moped for the drums and we went around the site playing here and there...I'm actually using the handlebar as seat! Nalle Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

It's legal as long as the Knox & Kane's Mikado is not pulling a train across it. It's part of the Kinzua Bridge State Park. The bridge is over 800 ft high.Paul

My son and I really like trains. Now that I figured out how to get my pictures down to 100kb I'll post some pictures of Steamtown soon. Happy Rails, Patrick Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-15-02, 01:44 AM (EST) 36. "RE: Please View All...Place a Picture of yourself on this Forum?" LAST EDITED ON Jan-15-02 AT 01:56 AM (EST)This photo was taken a few months ago while chasing the Union Pacific's DD40 through Utah. It is at one of my favorite train chasing locations (a bonus to who knows where I am).

I am Nick,

and am currently finishing up a BS degree at Mesa State College (in Colorado, USA). My first word was "choo-choo." The girlfriend appreciates MSTS cause we don't go out in the cold to take pictures of trains. I have always loved trains and would someday like to work for the railroad. Jan-15-02, 12:06 PM (EST) 48. "RE: Please View All...Place a Picture of yourself on this Forum?" Nick; You're not up Spanish Fork Canyon (one of my favorites) and it's not Provo canyon, so you must be somewhere further north like around Logan or somewhere? I guess it could always be down around Sand Mountain (Delta area) but all you mostly see there is Union Pacific coal freight, which isn't as fun to chase. So I give up. Where? Side note: Any Utahn's into model railroads might want to attend the trainshow in Spanish Fork on Saturday (Jan. 19). I believe it will be at the armory again but it may be at the fair grounds. Last year I found it to be much better than the infamous Ogden show. It's much less commercialized than the big Ogden show, and is more about the layouts than the selling of stuff. There is lots on sale there too though if you like to buy.-Jago-

Jan-15-02, 04:01 PM (EST) 54. "RE: Please View All...Place a Picture of yourself on this Forum?" JagoYour first guess was right. I am in Spanish Fork Canyon just east of Gilluly (almost to soldier summit). The railroad loops around here and ends up where the red arrow is. Maybe this picture will help.

The Great American Train Show was in Salt Lake last weekend (jan12). A friend of mine said it was weak and had a poor attendence. My favorites are the train shows in the depot in Odgen. Nick

Jan-15-02, 11:22 PM (EST) 68. "RE: Please View All...Place a Picture of yourself on this Forum?" Nick- Of course. I had mistaken the road for the ballast and didn't notice the tracks. This is where the tracks go under the road and backtrack uphill to the west to make the steep grade. My uncle worked for UP and tells horror stories about coming around that corner with little to no brakes at 70+. He swears that the wheels came off the track down the left side of the train .
I fish sometimes just down the canyon a few miles where Diamond Fork river dumps into Spanish Fork river (just before the tunnels). Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

I worked on some other systems at that time, but I remember the name Bravo quite well.At that time the Dutch Railroad Company has her own It-daughter, called CVI. It was sold to EDS in 1995, I was sold too.
As an employer I kept on working for NS(R) and on Januari 1, 2001, I returned to where I belong: the Railroad Company.
NSR "restored" my years, so I can say I serve the NSR for almost 30 years.

To see what I look like now just take the above picture, remove a little fat from the face, add some facial hair that hasent been cut since Christmas day, longer hair that covers the ears, and a girlfriend that dumped me in September (I call these affect the Simulator Disease, due to long hours at the computer and ignoring your girlfriend)

Jan-19-02, 10:04 PM (EST) 109. "RE: Please View All...Place a Picture of yourself on this Forum?" Richard,
McClellan was decomissioned earlier this year. As far as I can tell the only engines in the engine house are 2 Yolo Shortline engines. Both are ex-ATSF units one lettered YSL and the other still lettered for the Santa Fe. I do not recall the type they are, but I believe they are the funny looking low nose ones and they seem to do the little switching on the property There are also about 50 ex-BN B-units

here is another view
These are supposedly owned by the State of California. I was told that they were to be coverted to propane power. The yard at the ex-base is nearly always full of what I believe are propane tankers and the occasional fully loaded center beam flats. Also the American Orient Express has been parked there twice this yearErik Pierson

Hey Starlight It's no problem making the exhaust disappear, just edit out the diesel exhaust effects section of the .eng file. What would be neat, but won't work in the Sim, is to have no smoke while running propane, then have the smoke reappear when switched over to diesel fuel.Chuck Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

However, the emblem below, nicknamed "Ruptured Duck", says more about me than a photograph ever will. For those unfamilar it signifies military service during WW2 and given to all honorably discharged veterans during that era. There are many theories about the origin of the term Ruptured Duck, but the best sources indicate it was coined by GIs anxious to return home to the USA.
