Jan-09-02, 03:00 AM (EST) "CLW PA Originals - having engine sound problems" I recently loaded the original CLW PA set of engines using the "Setup.exe" installer. I get the engine files, and the cab folder and files, but no sound files. When I run the engine I get the background noises, lever noises, air brake sounds rattles, clanks, etc., but no engine sounds. (with no sound folder & files, where is it getting its sounds?)Is this normal for this engine set, or is there something I need to add? Can a person add a sound file from another engine (like the MSTS GP-38, for instance)? Any advice or counsel would be appreciated lots. Thanks, madoke

"RE: CLW PA Originals - having engine sound problems" In addition to the AlcoPA folder, the Setup.exe file should have installed an additional folder within your Trainset folder named clw.sounds, which contains two subfolders: alco_244 and k5la_horn. These folders contain the engine and horn sounds. The other sounds (the ones you are hearing) are referenced to the default GP38 installation.Check and make sure the clw.sounds folder was properly installed within your Trainset directory. If not, I'd recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the Alco PA locomotive set.Hope this helps.Cameron Lashley Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
