Jan-08-02, 10:26 AM (EST) "Disused Station on the NEC" While flying (literally!) round a curve at Milepost 47 on the NEC i noticed 2 platforms which are out of use - one on each side of the tracks. Does anyone know if these are meant to be a station, or are they something Microsoft Forgot about???Has anyone else noticed this "station"??????? PICTURE BELOW
If i were to "re-open" the station in route editor (you know with the platform marker), would it mess up my paths???Thanks, Lee

"RE: Disused Station on the NEC" If you do change anything on the default NEC you should back it up just in case, but adding a platform marker there shouldn't affect any of the existing activities since you're not creating or modifying any potential paths. It's probably a comuter rail station or something I'd guess.-Andy

Jan-08-02, 03:52 PM (EST) 2. "RE: Disused Station on the NEC" It is indeed a commuter station - there are dozens on the line that Kuju didn't know/care about. Not sure why they included this one and ignored the rest, though. Download NEC v2 - this has all the appropriate stations added and the silly speed limits corrected. Trying to provide a commuter service in the Acela is "interesting" however - you spend more time winding the throttle back and forth than anything else! Jan-08-02, 07:36 PM (EST) 4. "RE: Disused Station on the NEC" The route map for the NEC in the Quickstart Guide shows Elkton about 43 1/2 miles from Philadelphia. That would be approximately MP47 and would likely be the location of this platform. I assume the high speed trains do not stop there.
Regards
