Jan-07-02, 01:01 PM (EST) "LTV-Erie Mining" Just saw the add-on route for MSTS entitled LTV-Erie Mining at our local computer software outlet. I use EMRR and PO&N daily and enjoy both very much and wonder how LTV stacks up to these free routes. Of course, there is a $29.95 price tag so it would have to be super-great when comparing to the fine talents of Jim Ward and Rich Garber, who have dedicated their superb skills and abilities to the MSTS enthusiasts *and* with no strings attached. I've bought the add-on Locos with a promise that this route will be issued free. There also were a posting regarding the "Sound" of the said add-on Locos. HOWEVER nothing has materialized yet? ( I received the Locos and returned the registration card.) This is nearly 2 months now. E-mail to Abacus also reemained unanswered?

If your e-mail's gone unanswered, I would suggest either trying again, or looking over their site for an alternative contact method (there's an 800 number on the site - how convenient).As well, the route and sound-update CD shipped just before the holidays, and folks have reported receiving their copies. If after a while you continue to run into a wall, let me know and I'll see if there's anything I can do to help.To say I'm proud of this set would be an understatement (after all, it's one of my favorite raliroads). Whether you pay $29 or $19, a portion of the procedes goes to the families employed by the former LTV/EMCo (nearly 1,400 laid off this past year). Thanks to all who supported us in our efforts to help them. Cheers!

And from what I'm reading here, the actual route CD to run this train on does not come in the box? What do you get then? Why do they bother selling it seperate. I lost my registration card and emailed them the registration info and got a reply saying I'd have it in a couple days. So, I'd say they took care of me OK after I goofed up and lost my card.Mike

The first is that I no longer have that slick view from the cab of the trailing F-9 A unit that I had when I installed the original trainset.Second, I get a "missing 3DTree.ace" error heading up the hill from the docks. It's looking for it in the Spring tecture folder. I can't locate any 3DTree.ace anywhere in the textures.Anybody else seen either of these problems? >problems? I've not had the texture problem. But I can help with the snazzy view. The rear unit in the consist file for the activities is not the one with the passenger view defined.Just replace the rear unit with the one with a different number. I'll try changing trailing unbits and see what happens.I e-mailed Abacus tech support and got a message back last night that they are looking into both issues, especially since the tech support guy (Adam)m says he gets the same error on the missing ace file. I found out what was wrong with the ABBBA with 20 cars, both loaded and empties.
These consists use the 4211 as front and as rear engine, instead of the 4210 as rear engine.I have altered both consists, here they are:

"RE: LTV-Erie Mining" I just recieved my Route that comes free if you regester your Train Set software today ...So have only a little time exploring .. the scenery is great and the buildings look ok (they lack detail)...I did try to take some of the objects and use them in another route , after copying the .ace and .s and .sd
