Jun-09-01, 06:50 AM (EST) "Oh, the frustration!!" Dear Agony Aunt,
I now own 13 addon locos, 9 addon rolling stock, several activities and a utility to make the sky more realistic. I have a sound knowledge of the bugs in MSTS, I know how to build and skin, I even know the mileages of several features and platforms on various routes. I can also change camera angles and zoom in and out. My list of bookmarks is growing everyday as is the amount of time I spend reading forums, websites and screenshot galleries. Yet can I buy the bloody game...can I 'eck as like!!
What possible marketing strategy can justify leaving a good portion of the intended market hanging on and hoping that the release dates they are being given are fictitious and that an earlier release will happen.
Yes, I am one of the poor sods waiting in the UK for a release and getting increasingly more frustrated.
My web wanderings are taking me more and more often to the Auran website and I find myself wondering if perhaps my money would be better spent somewhere with a less biased outlook on software distribution.
Yours frustratingly
Keith

Jun-09-01, 07:18 AM (EST) 1. "RE: Oh, the frustration!!" I totally agree. The game will be available in South Africa on the 29th of June, or so they say, for around $76, which works out at about 590 South African Rands, to give you an idea a new release music CD is around R120. It will work out cheaper for me to buy it in Belgium when I am there, for around $55. Rip off? I think so! Just because it’s a new product why should the price be around $20 more than a normal game? The price will drop after a month or so.Just my 2 cents worthSee yaHenk Hugo

Jun-09-01, 05:58 PM (EST) 4. "RE: Oh, the frustration!!" Hmmm, maybe you can find a place to buy online that's willing to send it to other country? Maybe Amazon.com, Chips & Bits, CompuExpert, etc.?Or buy me a round trip ticket, and I'll deliver one for you personally! Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
