Jun-05-01, 11:42 AM (EST) "Problems With ATI AIW PRO 8 meg AMD K6-2 400" I have been haveing a lot of problems with this set up In reading the green text (appended below...) first the good part ... it runs which supprised me (parts for my new computer are due tomorow or the next day) and the sound seems fine (SB Live) but video problems are huge. I hope most of my problems will be fixed by the new computer I am Building (expect me back her when ican not get it to even boot on Thur)but I would not consider the game playable with this system...In Accordance with the readme file:
"Rage Pro (or earlier) (Get technical support and information from http://www.ati.com)
· Train Simulator does not run on computers with the ATI Rage Pro card installed. After it begins to launch you are returned to the desktop. Getting the latest drivers from ATI fixes this."

This was the case with the certified released drivers for me on this system
Recommended Driver - 4.11.2560
Posted May 28, 1999
I tried the newer drivers from ATI (the ones that turn off support for video in)
Alternate Driver - 4.12.2632

This display driver is NOT recommended if you wish to use the ATI DVD Player or capture video using the ATI Video Player (TV Tuner/Capture) software. and the game does run... but the green text is not readable (frame rates at 800X600 are 6 to 10 with most things off... 640X480 will not work (vert striping offset problems at those res)I have run trouble shooting and selected the bad text items to no change... Since I would like to get a bit familiar with the game over the next few days does any one have anything else to try? (BTW the same problem, withthe green text is also seen in Fallout Tactics Demo------------------
