Is there anyway to simulate remotes in MSTS? I noticed the kicking horse 2 route had a cp robotcar with it. Is that for controlling remotes?

RE: remotes in trainsim.

The Robot car has Locotrol I on it, the lead locomotive sends signals to the slave units via the robot car to perform what it is supposed to do, only thing is that most of CP's SD40-2's only had the standard Locotrol I equipment, the other CP SD40-2's had Locotrol II and Locotrol III. It has no function in the sim other than to look pretty. My understanding when MSTS sees multiple locos it simply multiplies the power that is available and position in the train is not relavant. Example: In the sim a 100 car grain train will behave the same if it has six locos at the front the same way it would if it had three locos on the front and three in the middle. Hope this helps. If anyone has different or better information, feel free to correct. Cheers,
