RE: msts error

In the error you'll seen the name of the missing wagon or engine. No need to look in every folder. Try to find it under the engine or wagon name in the download library, or somewhere else on the www. If you put down the name here, some of us could tell were to find it.Rob

RE: msts error

When you install something in MSTS, you should take the time to check it out with a combination of utilities. I use EngineMod, RouteRiter and ConBuilder. Others also like Route Control. These utilities will find most errors for you, and offer a way to save or print the generated list of errors, making it much easier to "troubleshoot" the problem.I use them this way:New Rollingstock:
Check for missing files in ConBuilder. Check for everything relevant to the type of rolling stock ( i.e. cabviews for locos ). I also use ConBuilder to check for consists using this rolling stock.
I use the "bracket" check feature of EngineMod on the files as well.New Activities:
Check activities with Route Riter. I also check consists with ConBuilder because sometimes activities get packaged with "unused" consists that call for equipment I don't have. You can also check unused consists with RouteRiter.New Routes:
Check everything as above. If you will get in the habit of installing one thing at a time, and then using the utilities to check before either trying to run MSTS or installing something else, fixing your problems will be much easier for you and for anyone attempting to help you.

RE: msts error

There is a fix in the library for those wagons..Must say, I never use RR or RC. In case of a missing file ConBuilder is the best way to replace missing rolling stock. There are some activities to download which use Dekosoft or Dieselswest stock. I don't have those, so I replace them with MLT stuff or freeware.
