Now this is funny (to me it is ) We know MLT's Sigview right? Now try and copy that ace file to your Global texture folder and rename it to liteglow.ace (backup the original one!!!) That's it. Now run an activity at night with oncoming traffic. I like it

...Nice effect!!!I tested on a straight section of track with an AI train approaching at 26 MPH. I could see the AI a full 1 minute, 10 seconds earlier than using the original "Liteglow.ace" file. This is much more realistic, and yet it doesn't have any noticable undesireable side effects. The light intensity when nearby is the same with either file. Thanks for the tip.Carl

For those of us having senior moments, or hours as the case may be, could you give us the location of this file. I do not see a Sigview.ace file anywhere.

RE: Using Mlt's Sigview as headlights

Shane,It does appear to alter the player engine's look of the lights as well when you are facing the unit. However, in some ways it looks OK. However, I feel that the effect of the AIs coming at you is worth it. It is REALLY great! Try it.....you can always put it back. Maybe someone who knows how to manipulate .ace files can make a cool one for headlights that is brighter up close and bright far away.Bryce

RE: Using Mlt's Sigview as headlights

Robert Fontaine's solution is a nice invention, however it doesn't work the way as the Sigview works. Robert's light improvement takes care of the flooding that occur when you use the headlights.Using the Sigview ace file is easy as it doesn't involve editing the .eng files. However it is a bit crude when you look at the lights from up close. Certainly room for improvement.

I agree. Looks like we need a blending of the technology. Bryce
