Apologies to anyone having trouble with this version...It seems I have a problem with the installation of this version and Windows 98 and ME.I advise that you do not try and install this as it may try and overwrite some system files.
Stick with Version 1.3
If you have Windows XP, Version 1.4 will work OKI will work on fixing this after christmas.

RE: *** WARNING*** Shape Viewer 1.4 and Win ME/98

Yes it got me. My Win 98SE PC won't bootup, not even in safe mode. (I'm writing this from work)The error message is - "MSVCRT.dll is linked to missing export NTDLL.dll:RtGetNTVersionNumber"Looks like I need to replace MSVCRT.DLL in the C:\Windows\System folder with a copy from the installation CD or one of my backup files to get underway again. Will try this after work.Shape Viewer is a great programmeGraham

That did the trick. Once the the operating system was up and running MSTS wouldn't start, problem with DDRAW.dll Ran Dxdiag which found some problems with the Display so reinstalled Directx_9cWorks fine now.

RE: *** WARNING*** Shape Viewer 1.4 and Win ME/98

On my WIN98SE machine, I had to copy MSVCRT.dll from another
WIN98SE computer and then my computer would boot again. I did not have to copy NTDLL.dll and the DirectX Diagnostics ran ok.A couple days later, I got messages with another program
"Incompatible Version of the RPC Stub"Per the uSoft Knowledge database "This issue may be caused by any program that installs different versions of the Oleaut32.dll, Olepro32.dll, Asycfilt.dll, and Stdole2.tlb files (and possibly others). This may create a mixed file version environment with files that are not compatible with each other."They had a patch on their site at
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;321915These steps seem to have restored my computer.

I have Windows XP, and couldn't install version 1.4:
It tells me that some components are outdated, and the program needs to update them and reboot.
I accept and reboot.
Then I try to install it again, and still the same.I finally reinstalled the old version 1.3, and it did run OK.

In order to install applications in either Windows 2000 or Windows XP you have to be logged on to the system with Administrator rights.*** WARNING*** Shape Viewer 1.4 and Win ME/98 – image 2
