I would like to thank everyone for this great package! Its the first with 2 cabviews and wipers you can really see working from the inside of the cab. This is a great download and thanks very much to everyone who made it possible!
I would love to see more realistic cab views to replace the D9 cab
and cab80 cab views, and this cab view is getting more like it!
Thanks again

RE: SD90MAC-H2 Superpack

Hmmm! Not sure what is going on here, but the cabviews are definately aliased to the default Dash9 (unfortunately).
Likewise the sounds are aliased to the default (V1.2 upgrade) SD40-2!? This is not realistic, as 6000HP SD90Macs use 4 stroke prime movers, not 2 stroke prime movers such as the SD40-2 uses.I will use SD90Mac cabviews (downloaded from the FL) for the cabviews. Also, I will use more realistic engine sounds (modified 4 stroke GE sounds from either NALW or Diesels West original sounds).

I don't think so. He talks about 2 cabviews. Then he talks about seeing the wipers working from inside the cab.
Neither of these happen. My Computer specs are in my profile

It is actaully the normal Headout view. Instead of having it outside the window it is inside the cab and you can still see every thing ahead and behind you. I thought about moving the heaadout view to the outside of the cab but I thought it looked too cool from inside to have that changed.

This package has the D9 cabview, you can change it to "dash9-Cab80.cvf" but to see the other cab view, when going forward
press the down arrow, to look back and then use the left and right arrow to look around outside and then turn around toward the front of the engine to go back inside and that is where the other cab view comes in, then press v to see the wipers move from inside the cab.

RE: SD90MAC-H2 Superpack

I am not too impressed with this download. As mentioned in other replies to this post, the aliasing to the default Dash 9 for the Cab and the SD40 for the sounds is a little hoaky. However, my biggest complaint is the loss of detail if you have to run Train Sim with the 2 train sliders in the advanced display options page reduced by 1 notch from the max. With this done, the snow plow on the front disappears as does the windows in the cab. Even though I have a 2.5 Ghz pentium 4 with HT, 512 MB of RAM and a video card with 128 MB of ram; I have to run activities on the Rollins Pass route with the train sliders in that position to reduce the number crashes of the Train Sim because of object overload.Bill Waterman

IF you would rather have a different sound and cab view, alias the cab view to MLT's 44CW, and also the sound.
( "..\\..\\MLT_REQUIRED\\MLT_SOUNDS\\SP\\T710_EMDeng.sms" )
( "..\\..\\MLT_REQUIRED\\MLT_SOUNDS\\SP\\T710_EMDcab.sms" )
their EMD sounds are very good. AT least i think they are.

RE: SD90MAC-H2 Superpack

Aliasing the sounds and the cab view are not my major concern. I am in the process of doing that with some of my aquired locomotives. My real concern was the dramatic loss of detail when you have the train sliders in the Advanced Display Options page dropped down to 1 notch below the maximum. The SD90's from Sacramento Locomotive Works look just fine with those sliders set that way. However, these locomotives look real bad. You must understand, I am talking about how the locomotive looks on any of the external views.

This is what I recommend for the cabview and sounds but I provide no support in aliasing cabviews or sounds. The cabview I recommend is from the file sd90cab2.zip unless you own the SD90MACs from SLW. As for the sounds I like to use the files from the file cnsd75i.zip for all my SD70s and SD90s, I have not yet got my hands on any of the SD70Ms from MLT so I don't know if they are good to use but I bet they are.
