I downloaded a file called "Good Food" after its unziped. It has krispie creame, waffle house and krystal in it. I know these work
but not for me. I put the shapes in the shapes folder, textures in the textures folder and the ref in the ref, so i go in the RE and place all the objects, look great! Come out and open the train sim
and get failed to load shapes, failed to load textures, is their another zip you need for this to work? or what could be the problem?

RE: scenery objects

Hi John !Don't know what you did but the NIGHT folder and .ace files go into the route's TEXTURES folder and the .s / .sd files into the route's SHAPES folder. The .ref entries go into the route's .ref file but watch out for the misspelling of Restaurant ! Hi Otto
I put the s ,sd in the shapes folder, Ace, in the textures folder
And the night in the night folder, and copy and pasted the ref file
Looked just like yours until i went into the train sim and i got every failed to load you can get! And should you overwrite the blank ace? I couldn't beleive it because their were no problems with them in the RE

Try turning down the graphics quality setting in MSTS. If that solves it, then your train has so many shapes and textures that when you encounter the krispy creme, your graphics card memory is full and it can't load one more thing.

RE: scenery objects

John, what Bob suggests prompts the question, how much RAM has your machine got and what else is running in the background using some of it ? If you got WIN-XP then check with the Task Manager's "Performance" Tab how much available RAM there is when you get these messages. The "Failed to load" mentions these files specifically ? No, the Blanc.ace does not have to be overwritten, it's needed by some textures.O t t o
