Hello all I am still new to this so I got a couple of questions.....I was wondering if anybody is doing\or going to do the BNSF line that goes from the Seligman Sub into Phoenix? I did notice that sombody is doing the Seligman Sub From Needles California to Winslow Arizona....And my 2nd question is.......a couple of years ago somebody did a Illinois Central line (partly) I was wondering if anybody is going to finish it?.....I grew up in Illinois along the I.C. in Tuscola Ill. Where the I.C. meet the U.P. line and the CSX. So if anybody knows the answer please let me know cause I sure love running the I.C. line and I would love to do the BNSF line. Thanks Roburt

I don't remember what the line down into Phoenix was called either. I only know that it ends/starts in Phoenix at Mobest yard. Been there many times. The line goes right through Glendale, AZ. which is where I grew up. =|GoldenPig

Peavine or Pealine Sub, depending on who you talk to. I live in Peoria about 200 yrds from the tracks and run down Grand Ave. every morning to get to work.I have started it 3 different times, just have not had time to start again between Conbuilder and the NCR Route.

I think your refering to the Santa Fe Pheonix Sub. But thats according to a Santa Fe System Timetable No. 5 Effective 12:01 a.m. Sunday April 16, 1995. 106 miles from Ash Fork with the longest siding at Castle Hot Springs. Going Eastbound (North) Pheonix, Mobest, Alhambra, Glendale, Peoria, Ennis, Beardsley, Wittmann, Castle Hot Springs, Wickenburg, Matthie, Congress, Piedmont, Date, Hillside, Grand View, Kirkland, Skull Valley, Tucker, Kayfour, Abra, Drake, Ash Fork, Sereno, Williams, West Williams Jct. DT (Dark Territory). If anyone needs info on the Santa Fe lines let me know, I've got the whole system in my house. Now to go dig out those boxes with all the Santa Fe stuff.-MattATSF GP60M #104 works on the local in Flagstaff, AZ. www.atsfrr.com Please attend the up coming convention in Pasadena, California.

If you cant find me at Home I'm railfanning up and down the BNSF Ft. Worth Sub.

That would be cool to see the Peavine line done. I visited Arizona for my first time last April and absolutley loved it out there. Its a good change of scenery and Railroads. From CSX/NS to UP and BNSF. Of course there was alot of NS and CSX running around out there.Ryan

Here's some shots from along the Peavine, cira 2002
Arizona & Illinois – image 6
At the Grand Canyon Railroad Depot, yes this is the GCRy, but the track in the foreground is the Peavine which the train will be on in a few moments.
Arizona & Illinois – image 7
Little Hell Canyon, not the more famous "Hell Canyon" that is a huge spindly trestle, this was the only place we could get to and much so for every one else, the new highway (to the right) and the hillside to my left was a massive wall of people

Congress Arizona, this is right before Wickenburg where we'd leave the train.

RE: Arizona & Illinois

The bigger bridge over Hell Canyon is a little harder to get to, and you have to know which side road to take to get there. I have some pics somewhere of the Bridge from down on the old Hiway.
