In the on screen "next station info box" is it possible to change the colour of the time which is blue on black and difficult to see, perhaps to white. David

RE: Next station info box

Dave:In the file library download trkmon21.zip . IIRC the information also pertains to the Next Station Display. There is also one for changing the Heads Up Display ( F5 ). Do a text search for CYNDI to find them and others.John

RE: Next station info box

CYNDI, I have changed the sequence of numbers on line 5 but that hasn't changed the blue colour on the next station and track monitor which I would like to be white. I'm not sure what difference the number change has made to anything.
Thanks again, David

RE: Next station info box

David:C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator\GUI\DRIVERAIDSThe above is the path to DriverAids, look for the file progress.dat . This is the Next Station information. Each section is labeled, so you can change just about anything. The Track Monitor file is listed as monitor.dat , changes in 1 don't effect the other. If you have any problems, PM me with specifics.Cyndi Richards ( BNSFLady ) was a good friend of mine who died suddenly 07-30-04, hence the signature line.John

David:Also in the libraries, look for this file: trans_da.zip
it's a semi-transparent windows set, with better colours for the main lines, in the F10 Next Station window you'll see meta-data in white and data in yellow, like in this picture:It's my favourite display, semitransparent, doesn't cover completely the background, and at the same time it's seen and read well. Hope you like it too.Regards...

RE: Next station info box

I have decided to re download the "trans_da.zip" from the file library and when I try to open it on my computer I get the message "the compressed folder is invalid or corrupted". What next?

RE: Next station info box

My last posting re error message has been solved by re-booting my PC - I ought to rememder to do this when a fault appears - it nearly always solves the problem, but I still have no joy with the "trans_da.zip", having followed the readme info VERY carefully there is no change to the display in my MSTS.

David:I just checked trans_da.zip, it downloaded and unzipped ok just like tmy original copy. Try to download it again and also download something else to see if it opens. If you still can't open it, let me know, and I'll send you my copy. JohnCYNDI RICHARDS

RE: Next station info box

David:As long as you installed the .ace & .dat files correctly, it should work. One thing I noticed is that the Next Station display usually shows uo at the bottom. Some cabs are darker than others. Try using the #2 or #3 view and see how it is against a light background. If no change then go back & redo the installation of this section. Make sure you are copying the correct .ace file.JohnCYNDI RICHARDS

RE: Next station info box

Again I have tried changing the font in the progress.dat file without success. You say in your F4key notes that 255 255 0 is yellow and 0 0 255 is blue. Should there not be 4 numbers as in the progress file alongside font?

RE: Next station info box

The line TrGUI_Region_Font contains 4 values. The first value is the font type, the next 3 values are the color of the font. Look in the gui_fnts.dat file ( same folder ) to get the font you want. Then edit the first value to the font number. Then change next 3 values for color.John

David:
It's a little difficult to install, so that you can customize it the way you like it.
If you cannot install it, send me an E-mail, I can send you a zipped copy of my Driveraids folder, it's easier to install.Regards...

RE: Next station info box

Hi,I personally like drvraids.zip from the library. Works very well--I have never noticed a problem trying to see the station display.Be sure to never mess with the F5 display (HUD) if you use RailDriver....it won't work.
