The Sim brings many frustrations! Checking the activities for what equipment is missing, gives a good full list of all file names/ wag files you need. But, when you search for those files in Train-sim, it does not cross reference them by file name or wag file. Another change that would make it easier would be if the missing rolling-stock print out could be shown as missing stock on the left, consist/ activity on the right, or a choise of each. Hi Rick,If you can type up an example of how you would exactly like the report formatted, I am sure I can oblige for you. However, I am not sure I understand your "....when you search for those files in Train-sim, it does not cross reference them by file name or wag file." - Route-Riter tells you which file is missing from which folder, e.g. SWT159\Class159SWT.eng tells you the missing engine and the folder it should be in.However, Route-Riter has no way of knowing what the file is named on Train-sim.com (Or any other file library, many Route-Riter users are not train-sim.com members, but get their rolling stock from European, Russian or Australian sites). As suggested above, 'Activity Master' allows you to substitute existing rolling stock for the missing stock, however RR also does this, and is free.Mike
An example would be if you looked up the "swt159" in the search of Train-sim you would get nothing, as if you looked up "Class159SWT.eng, nothing. I looked up MPCoal, and MP582746_fl.wag, nothing, looked for Coal Hoppers, searched through a lot of files , and finally found it. I guess what I was trying to say, is that the names shown in your Missing Rolling-Stock report, would be easier to find in Train-Sim, if Train-Sim hag a Search Engine that could find files by wag, eng and so on names.CPTrainman63R trucker58r@netscape.net Rick
I guess what >I was trying to say, is that the names shown in your Missing >Rolling-Stock report, would be easier to find in Train-Sim, >if Train-Sim hag a Search Engine that could find files by >wag, eng and so on names. IF I know the name of the missing ENG or WAG file, in the search I enter that in the TEXT line.. and if its THERE, it finds it.. forget the file name.. that REQUIRES a .zip extension..usually
Mike,Where is the "substitue existing rolling stock" in RR? It's probably obvious, but I've looked for it after I ran the Check all Activities function and can't find it. Thanks for your help.CB
Hi CBI am not Mike but will try to help. Check all Actives. In the window that comes up right click on the consist you wish to change. This will open a new window and you can pick a new consist.Or you can left click on the consist you wish to change and the wagons will show up on the right side of the screen. Highlight the wagon you want to change and right click. A new window will open and you can pick any wagon you want. Make sure the coupling and brakes are the same.Regards,
