I have searched and searched for the following missing rolling stock to use in the newest RGS route.
rgs\box\RGS_Box.wag
drgw_5671\drgw_stock.wag
DRGW_Cab\drgwCab.wag
Conoco_tank\Conoco.wagI searched all the narrow gauge equipment files line by line and still no luck. The readme indicates the originall rolling stock in the first rgs is needed, but I cannot seem to find the package.

RE: Rio Grand southern

Thanks much for your help. I'll change the caboose. It is very hard to knock any route for the amount of work is tremendous, so I guess we are the tuner uppers. It is the least one can do for all the hard work is done for us.

Thanks to everyones advice my install appears to be going well and I've added all the above zip files including the caboose. However, can anyone direct me to the following file (I'm receiving an error message at MSTS start up under Train/Trainset):rgs_cab_401\vt_flat_190.wagTIA

RE: Rio Grand southern

I reinstalled the route twice. Route writer indicates snow environment files missing. It replaced many missing files. Right now the route is going into the bin along with mbta, until I acquire enough expertise to fix it. Thanks for all the help.

RE: Rio Grand southern

All the old consists are loading, calling for things like 342, 463, RGSbox and other things that aren't in the new route package. Just note the consists with the engine numbers you're getting on the errors and delete them. And Bob's your uncle. Right Jonathan?

I am aware of one snow texture file that is missing that I will upload a patch for when I get round to it. I must say I have no idea why you are getting any errors about rolling stock if you have both the packs installed...http://groups.msn.com/MSTSNarrowGauge (Now being updated more oftern)

RE: Rio Grand southern

I had a hard time trying to decypher which file in the library was the first pack. I didn't install the first version. I have some scenery missing at Dolores or Teluride, I forget which, plus lots of terrain on the tracks. I finally got it to work and I like the route so it isn't filed away for future use yet.

RE: Rio Grand southern

It's a great route. Scenery is superb. For those like me who did not have any Narrow guage rolling stock, search the file library for RGS and for DRGW and you should find everything needed.

There are redundant files in the services and traffic folders. These will cause missing consist errors.
If you have the consists from Jonathans other routes then they will cause missing rolling stock errors.Easiest solution is to open the activities in RE ignoring the errors and package them.
You can then delete the contents of the services and traffic folders.

RE: Rio Grand southern

I had to go into each of the extracted files and copy the contents of say, textures or other similar files into one single file and I still have missing terrain in places. But at least now it loads, albeit I still have to deal with the complaint by msts about the missing files.
For those of us with minimal skills the install is not easy to do as other routes I have installed. The builder worked a long time on the route so I just have to excersize some patience.

RE: Rio Grand southern

I did the same thing "I had to go into each of the extracted files and copy the contents of say, textures or other similar files into one single file and I still have missing terrain in places." but mine still will not load, my main question is do i need to download narrow gauge track also ? i seen the files in there so i figure the track is there also. The route editor says the same thing about the track, "failed to open track data base"....

RE: Rio Grand southern

I first just opened the zipped files and then copied the unzipped files to the first folder, then went through the files consolidating those under the same directory, ie; "Textures". That didn't work. Then I deleted the whole route. Instead of just unzipping the route files, I extracted them to the MST Routes folder by clicking on the file with the the right mouse button, then selecting "extract to".
I then consolidated the like files again, then ran the batfile. The route loaded with all the same train errors, but at least I could run it. There are whiteouts in the terrain but they could be just clouds as at the elevation the route existed in, that wouldn't be so unusual. I was getting "cannot find clntrk1.ace and clntrk2.ace files missing at first, even though they were there, but I bet they were still compressed..

RE: Rio Grand southern

Interesting. I downloaded the route, installed it, ran the installation batch file, cranked it through RR and replaced the missing show textures, installed the specified rolling stock files, and it ran right out of the box.Nick

RE: Rio Grand southern

Could you in some detail describe just how you installed the route? It is obvious that you knew what you were doing and some of us thought we were doing it properly. Believe me, it would greatly be appreciated.
