I was trying to create an activity for the Tehachapi route and wanted to use rainy wheather. After about a million tries I gave up in complete disgust. The sim would fail to load objects and hang or just plain lock-up. Starting in Bakersfield, I never got past Caliente without locking up. Turns out all my routes have problems with rain, anyone know how to remedy this? Thanks a carload Works o.k. in summer-clear
Not much rain in the desert! Actually, check the trouble shoot menu (start>programs>microsoft games>train simulator) There is something about rain and snow causing problems in there, check it and then restart the game.C h r i s
I unfortunately don't remember the name of the weather, but if you are using the one that has Thunder, and the .wav file is really big for the sound, it will cause troubles/crashing. I had to switch the sound out to a different thunder .wav that was smaller and recommended by a post ages ago. You might do an archive search for thunder if this is your issue. I use Kosmos.Sorry I don't have more details, but this was right after Kosmos came out and I don't remember the details. Hopefully, if you are using the thunder weather, this will be a clue.Bryce
