Hi Bryce !I was not aware that one exists already !What does it do that can not be edited easily in a .sd file, knowing from CYNDI's HOW-TO Tutorial what the Bounding Box values in it represent.Does it check the actual size of a Loco / Waggon and calculates the Bounding Box accordingly ?O t t o
It allows you to alter all dimensions..including the 'size' in a couple of clicks..shows values out of bound..inertia tensor..has a 'fix' button which corrects some obvious errors..etc... I use it on all my stock...90% have errors.!!! Great little program..a must have for the more 'finnicky' simmer...IMHO Give it a try Otto..Georges
>Great little program..a must have for the more 'finicky' >simmer...IMHO That's me alright, Georges ! Thanks, will try it. Anything to make struggling with MSTS and it's Add-Ons any easier is welcome ! O t t o
Thanks folks. Just wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything. I heard that the there was a beta being tested quite some time back that would also look at the s file or integrate with the viewer so that you can see your changes on the spot. Hopefully it is still coming.Otto, definitely get it. It makes looking at the "whole" size/box issue very easy. It also makes a backup of the original sd file in case of error.Bryce
Got it Bryce !Like the way it indicates errant values and the comprehensive Info in the BBoxEdit.txt ! Does not seem to have any "Help" in either V-1.1 -or 1.2 ?Let us know when you found a more recent version ! Can Bob Guy be contacted somewhere ?O t t o
I came across this address ( zbobg@juno.com ) for FLIGHTSIM mods, by a Robert K Guy. Not sure if this Bob is also the author of the Bounding Box Editor; I haven't tried contacting him (yet).
