Hi MARIAS-KOOTENAI Friends !After reports about trains breaking apart on the Shelby to Cutbank stretch I have inserted 3 twin-nodes into that part and also fixed the sunken signals in the Skinner tunnel, replaced the Troy dummy tracks and took care of some more cosmetics such as flying roads and a few more terrain patches on trackbeds. Those of you who want to test it can download the 6 Mb Zip from:www.otto-wipfel.co.uk/downloads/mp3kfix2.zipAfter unzipping it into a temporary folder you will find a mp3kfix2 folder in it containing the mp3kfix2.exe.Running that one will install the Update into the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator\ROUTES\MARIAS-KOOTENAI folder. If your MSTS is installed on another drive then please change the Installer's Drive Letter accordingly. Those of you who have installed the MP3K into a MINI MSTS Route with a different Path than that of the Installer please change it to any DRIVE/PATH and it will install the MARIAS-KOOTENAI folder there for manual transfer to it's destination.Excisting Activities with extended Paths covering that stretch of tracks may not work so MAKE SURE you BACK-UP the MARIAS-KOOTENAI folder first !!!If those who have tested it are happy with the Update then please let me know and I shall upload it to the File Library for general release, my Web site's Bandwidth being limited.Installing the File Library's mp3kfix1 terrain-on-trackbeds repairs after the mp3kfix2 may overwrite some of the terrain changes made in the latter !!!Have FUN and Take Care, O t t oMARIAS-KOOTENAI Update #2 Test – image 1

John, let me know whether these new Nodes have cured your problem, because I still think that other factors are to blame at that spot which has not given me any problems ! If you still have a problem there I might have a closer look into how the track was laid at that spot.Take care, O t t o.P.S.: Had a really close look at the tracks and road level crossings there in both directions and can't find any flaws ! Also had another test drive over it with a 60 waggons consist, starting 8 miles East and it went as smooth as silk !

I'll let you know, i haven't come uncoupled their, i changed all my stiffness and damping, Anyway if watch you train go through their you can see the slack run in and out like it just wants to tear the train apart.

Hi Phil !Just checked it out and I have no hill at those Co-ords in my MP3K !Looks like you got some moles in your computer or somebody has been tinkering with your MP3K in the RE ? I know that MSTS "Creating Terrain Buffers" is misplacing some but not at that magnitude, surely !O t t oMARIAS-KOOTENAI Update #2 Test – image 4

Hi Phil !Frank Carver the maker of the MP3K reports that his brother, his machine having an on-board Graphics chip, also gets some of these weird terrain shapes but not in the same places. One time there is one and then the next time it is not.He himself reports two similar ones in other locations which are not alway visible. Seems also to have something to do with the type of Graphics Card used ?Is your's there all the time and can others see it ?O t t o

Hi Phil !Had to laugh, John Finney thinking it was a "Drive In Theatre". That card seems to have other quirks on some computers like this WIN-2000:http://www.train-sim.com/dcforum/DCForumID3/25564.htmlPerhaps you can figure what his problem is ? I have gone as far as I can with my limited knowledge of WIN-2000.Take Care, O t t o.P.S.: Frequent "Edits" caused by a 76 year old brain not paying attention !
