Hi all,I came across these 2 ATSF engines (ATSF840bw & ATSF514bw) and when I checked them out I found a problem with their shape files, with the ShapeViewer, nothing shows up and when I try to decompress the .s files, it crashes RouteRiter. I don't see a fix anywhere. Anyone have a problem also with these? Thanks.Mike
They're older pieces by the one and only Danny Beck, along with his GP60M's (which don't show up in shapeviewer either). I know the SD40-2 had the same problem, but I doubt it was the same cause.- - Nick Wilson
Mike: First check the properties of the .s files. If they show zero bytes, they have been destroyed. Hope you have back ups.If they are ok, try to open them with Shape File Manager, not Route Riter. If the .s file opens with SFM, scroll or search for section named IMAGES. First line will tell how many .ace files are being called. Next lines will identify .ace files being called. The number of .ace files in the list should total the number line 1. Also make sure the .ace file names exactly match the .ace file names in the engine folder. Check the .eng & .sd files to be sure the .s file being called is exactly the same as the .s file itself. If that doesn't work, check your PM and send me a copy of the .s file.John CYNDI RICHARDS 1938 * 2004 You will always be here with us.
The SD40-2's have an extra bracket in the "s" file that prevents shape viewer from working. However the GE's "s" files have been double compressed and that is why they won't work.
