Tehachapi Route Questions

Hey well I was thinking about getting the TEHACHAPI ROUTE for my MSTS.I was wondering is it a good neat looking Route.I was also wondering after you have paid for they send you a CD correct.How easy is this to Install,is it a Self Installer like MSTS Dose.so all ya do is do Install it like MSTS.Please let me know soon Thanks guys.

They send you a CD with a setup program.....basicly a point and click install....The route. like all the stuff I've gotten from 3DTrainstuff, is a first class piece of software.....it installs easily, runs perfectly with no errors, comes with a great selection of locomotives/rolling stock and enough activities to keep you busy at least a year! the scenery is very close to what you would find in Southern California in the tehachepi mountains, and very accurate as far as landmarks etc..Great route........Frank

Excellent route. I've railfanned Walong and the entire loop area and I'll say this: the one signal box and post where I used to set up is even in the sim. Cajon's another great route, esp if you like long distance running.

Its GREAT! All of the people standing on the side of the tracks watching the trains are exactly where I stand when I go there in real life. It is just like being there.Bryce

WOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWW what ya Reply I got on this one guys thanks alot. WISH ME LUCK ON GETTING THIS ROUTE BTW,I won't have too Download any XTracks right this is all on the CD I hope.Ya see I live with my Parents still so it is up too them,For me I will do it in a Sec,But I am hoping they will Cave in for this.Got Too Go.also wasn'there a Fix Ya needted to downlaod,LOike for a Signal or Etc.I thot tehre was one.

Everything you need is on the CD. No special tracks required. If you go to the 3dtrainstuff website, there is a signal upgrade, and possibly a patch (that you may not need if it is included on the the CD today). Ok thank for all of theelies just the anwswer's needed.Also what is the Full Mega Byte Size of the Route on the Disk.And are the Grade Crossings look good do they look.Do they look like Real Crossing with the Crossing arms,Etc.Dose anyone have some Pics of a Grade Crossong they can post here for me from the Tehachapi Route.Thanks Once Again.

If I recall, they have flashing lights, but can't recall. I think they do though. Just about every crossing has the gates, except for a few rural crossings.Chris Bogley

The crossing gates work nice, and the sounds are cool. I don't believe the lights flash, but they sort of glimmer like lights. Cascades has lights that alternate on its crossings.Bryce

The routes are completely separate, but they overlap in Mojave. You can effectively drive a train from San Bernardino to Bakersfield, but you will have to stop in Mojave and fire up the Tehachapi route. You can use the same consists.Bryce
