I just did a clean install of Windows Me,(first installed Windows 98, then used windows Me update), Updated Drivers for Gigex Motherboard, Got Directx, Updated all of windows, tried to install MSTS v1.2 to C drive, and it freezes. Sometimes I get the installation to Stop and an error message pops up saying my cab file is corrupted or I have no room on drive (80 gigs) The CD is Scratch Free. These errors pop up at random, 2%, 78%, 34%, 25%, anyone have this stupid problem? Or know how to fix it?
Hi Paul,Welcome to the forum.I am assuming that windows is running ok before you try and install MSTS. I can only assume that your MSTS cd's are not being read properly by your cd drive or that they have scratches on them.
Well I Installed it on the other computer in the house, it installed fine. So I tried to copy the files from the one computer to the other computer. Didn't work. I experienced the same kind of freezing. Must be something with copying...Ill just buy it again, see what happens.
FIRST... REPLACE the CD reader.. since the disks work OK in the OTHER machine, that drive in the first machine could be 'borderline' out of bounds as far as reading the tracks..
