It's hopeless! I have a hardtime convincing management (the wife) to let me get the payware locomotives, much less something like this. Definitely grounds for divorce. Besides, I have no room in the house for something like that. Would have to make a special room for it! Nice though.

I'd rather upgrade my computer. That would have a bigger impact on my use of the sim than that. "The F59PHI and Genesis are the lamest excuses for locomotives Amtrak has ever operated - accept it and move on. Hug an F40 before it's too late!"

Oh my did you guys see that. I think that is kinda neat, oh wait it says 6000 not 600 oh well, I wonder if I can take the reverser out and use it when I go to work. Hopefully I will be out of engineer training by then and wont even be tempted to buy that thing.

Wow! That LOOKS great! But the price is WAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY out of line!!!!! Like someone said.....I would buy a real engine for that money! Why cant someone just make a $250.00 version of that. I would buy it for $250.00.

Interesting! Cost aside ( . . cough cough, yes, ahem), I note on a close-up photo of the control stand at Raildriver website that the positions of the throttle and dynamic brake levers appear to have been swapped. Throttle shown is at the top, and dynamic brake beneath that.This is not the usual arrangement of control levers (at least not from what I have seen). Dynamic brake control lever should be at the top of the control stand, with the throttle control lever beneath that (like most, if not all, actual control stands).I would (like to) think that the control stand as supplied would have the levers in the correct positions?

Hi All,Its a case of these being an easy option for Museums etc, although you can buy one of you want one, however, like anything built by hand in small numbers it costs, if these were mass produced then it would be cheaper.Don't forget that if you can get hold of a full size control stand from a scrapyard with all the levers gauges and fittings (Pretty rare)that work, then you can hook up the control module fairly easily and plumb in a real one, so if you drive steam and build a backhead for example, we have all the bits you would need to bring it to life and drive a simulator using this.The control levers are all cast replica's from originals and as such have all the feel and features of the real thing.Tim C
