Hey all-Whenever I load my Illinois Northern route any time from dusk till dawn, the route crashes. I reinstalled kosmos, checked for missing files and it was negative, i dont know what the problem is.Anyone have any ideas? Since you've got Kosmos installed, use it to choose one of the MSTS default environments. Then try the route again at night.If it still crashes, then it's something to do with the route. Missing night textures, whatever.If that fixes it, though, then the problem is with a specific environment. Let us know which one it is. Also, try checking that environment in the "Advanced" section in Kosmos, under the "Maintenance" button. See if you get any results there.Jeff
Hey Jeff-I loaded one of the sky conductor skies into it and it worked at night. What I was doing was using a custom environment i created with the creation thing in kosmos. The route was checked, all ace files and everything are there. I did the check for missing textures in kosomos and was missing UKskylow so I copied skylow.ace and renamed it. Sounds like the "Assemble Your Own Environment" process didn't work quite right. Interesting. I've never seen an environment crash the activity dependent on when the activity was set to start. Usually, it either crashes, or it works.Could you send me a copy of the environment file itself that you made ("your-environment-name.ENV"), and also a list (like a screen capture or something) of what's in ENVFILES and ENVFILES\TEXTURES for that route? I'd be very interested to help figure out what went wrong.Jeff jbush@fullhouseny.com
