I checked with click team, the makers of the installer program I used. There is no way to tell which files are packed into which module.Let's try a little experiment here which may help other downloads in the future. I also need the help of a few of you guys who have good installs from the Frisco downloads. Here is what we are going to do:1. Go to http://www.irnis.net/free.shtml and download a very small freeware program <300K called eXpress Checksum Calculator and install it on your computer. By the way, Norton didn't find any virus on their site or in the downloaded zip file.2. Run it against the Frisco files you have downloaded. The CRC32 Checksums of the original files are: FriscoFS.exe 9823E9B3 FriscoFS.D01 1E0A37FA FriscoFS.D02 1826CEEA FriscoFS.D03 51C487F0 FriscoFS.D04 A535F954 FriscoFS.D05 710C5852If you get something different, then chances are that the file is corrupt.I need you guys having problems to try this and I need a couple of guys that have successfully installed the route to try it also just to verify that the checksums all match. Please report the results of this test by replying to this post. If this works we may have a quick easy way of knowing when a download is not right.Larry

RE: CRC Checksums For FRISCO route download problems
gave up on PRRR2.. too many files no longer available..as for FRISCO... YES.. ran the install, got braved and fired it up.. and.. you learn 2 throttle positions REAL quick.. pedal to the metal, OR ride the brakes.. overloaded and underpowered.. this is going to be fun...(tell me it IS possible to get up that hill???) and view 5 is VERY nice-scared me when I first hit it. PERHAPS, this info (the checksum) should be posted in EVERY multi piece route, download, run, and see if its right, right off the bat.. just a thought... thanks..
RE: CRC Checksums For FRISCO route download problems
Larry,You're probably not going to like this, but I have a successful install of Frisco and I have totally different results:FriscoFS.exe E918785C FriscoFS.D01 2CEDDAE2 FriscoFS.D02 24A845E0 FriscoFS.D03 6A99C191 FriscoFS.D04 FBAFA232 FriscoFS.D05 D1178D95Bill
RE: CRC Checksums For FRISCO route download problems
Yep, that's bad news Bill. I was worried about that. How did you download the files? I think some download assist programs or even some OS's may pad bytes to the end of a file to make them fill out the complete allocation block on the hard drive. That would make the checksum different. That's why I wanted several people with success's to try it also. Looks like publishing the CRC's aren't going to help all the time unless we can figure out what caused the difference. Thanks for responding to the call for help.Larry
