So this is where the rest of my answer went. Been a while since I took a good look at the Wupper, but it seems a number of the branch lines have been removed. Kaarstar and Stadwald, for example.I've probably spent more time on the earlier versions of this route than any other in MSTS. Looking forward to version 8.Rob.

Right, some WE7 lines are no longer included.
WE8 is a full rebuild, not an extension of previous versions.But WE7 is not overwritten, so you can still ride to Kaarster See for a sunbath !Love and Peace

From what I've understood, Wupper Express 8 will be based on real track maps (ie the track coordinates will be as close as possible to real-life) - does this area have any "neubaustrecken"? (ie 250-300 km/h lines for ICE-trains)
-USRailFan, longing for a prototypical route to run ICE-trains on which is a bit better than "High Speed Trains"

No fast tracks in this very area.There have been freeware plans for Cologne-Frankfurt, but no news for a while...Run your ICEs on LGV-MED... Gantries for WE8 : Kai Schadeberg

The overhead wire height has also been raised from 6 to 6.2 metres, the same as the one in PROTRAIN and other Central European Train Sim routes, the majority of German and Austrian Train Sim E-Locos having pantos for that height. The overhead wire gantries are also new !O t t o

Please give us a download link in this thread when it is ready for download! I tried and tried and tried to get Wupper7, but just could never manage to download it from train-de. Will Wupper8 be available from a couple of other places, maybe the file library here at Train-Sim? It sure would get into the hands of many more people that way!

The required/optional WE8 Stock will all be made available separately.*Specific WE8 stock by Graphics15 & Friends (new, as detailed above) should already get uploaded this Thursday/Friday, ahead of the main Route, in order to unpeak/soften server traffic loads.

At home, at The-Train.de, and, preempting Nel's highball here in the train-sim.com file library, plus 1-2 further FREE sites.*Other items required for the supplied activities will be listed in full detail with the activity/consists pack.
Only FREEWARE, readily available from The-Train.de, Train-Sim.com and/or listed third party free partner sites.
We want to care for sustained & reliable availability, and if applicable strive at obtaining extended release permissions from our friendly freeware author crew to let every user comfortably access the data.*ROUTE just below 50 MB compact, split in 2 easy self-installing files (+ need to run Installme.bat, as usual...).
Will not require any extras, while fully compatible with recent XTracks/tsection.dat
*Specific TRAINSET 10.6 MB (RAR), or 11.4 MB (ZIP)
