I've just installed Marias Pass 3.1, but now some of the consist files from the included activities are causing Train Simulator to crash during startup. Is there any way for me to find out which consists are the problematic ones? And why would they be crashing Train Simulator in the first place? Thanks Tim
Get Conbuilder and/or Routeriter.......they will check consists, routes, activities, engines etc..etc.!!! If a consist in an activity is wrong/missing the activity cannot be played...so MSTS crashes..!!Georges
I have also found that MSTS is "case sensitive" with regards to the consist name. If you have the TrainStore utiltiy, only load the route in question, then use RouteControl to find missing consists. The offending consist will be in the Back-up folder in the Consist folder. Cut/Paste the consist back into the Consist folder, then with WordPad open the consist file and correct the name to agree with that called for by RouteControl. Hope this makes sence to you and helps when the other utilities do not find the problem.Cheers; Chuck F.
the rolling stock and the locomotives your missing are in a folder inside the maris pass 3.1 Activity folder. look around in there and you'll find them. Click on the Activites folder and then you'll see the non-standerd rolling stock folder.GregoryBNSF Conductor
