I've fitted the recent replacement US2Bsignals with snow hoods, so the user has a choice of ones with lens shades or with snow hoods. If someone could tell me what signal rules the UP used, perhaps on the Clinton Sub, I will try to tweak the default scripts to work a bit better without having to tear all the signals out.I'll upload these tomorrow.Regards,
Hank

HankA set of CROR tri-lites, see pictures. BNSF are replacing the original searchlight signals they are/were using in Canada with the snowhood tri-lites. The heads appear to be at the same level as the original searchlight signals.Replacement US2Bsignals-with snow hoods – image 4Replacement US2Bsignals-with snow hoods – image 5The 1-head Absolute signal is denoted by the "A" plate.
The "R" plate on the Permissive signals is optional (these are the only kind I have seen).

I can probably make those without too much trouble, but to my eye, the trilight heads look more like 6 feet apart, center lamp to center lamp. Are the 2 head automatic trilights staggered heads or straight aligned?Regards,
Hamk

HankThis was the only picture that I had with all the signals in it. I remember when viewing from other angles that they appeared at the same spacing/height as the searchlights. The height levels that I placed on the jpg are from the KHP route signals. I used the values to create my own searchlight signal set.2 head automatic - The BNSF uses CROR rules in Canada so I would have to assume that they are staggered like the searchlight signals. From what I have there is only side-to-side staggers, no front-to-back.

Downloaded your replacement signals, but haven't installed them yet...
But, do they include prototypical BNSF signal scripts? Or do they use the default USA2 scripts?

RE: Replacement US2Bsignals-with snow hoods

They do use the default script. The included scripts are the default scripts, the only change being the position of the signal lamps and the inclusion of a dwarf signal. That's why you have to use the included sigcfg file.I can make some changes in the script that will allow for separate diverging aspects as well as approach diverging aspects which do not now appear in the default USA2signal scripts. The trick is make changes that will work with inplace signals and not make the route burp.Regards,
Hank
