First, allow me to apologize to all you folks who are having troubles getting the sub up and running. I truly do not understand what is causing the problems. I've extracted my copy and downloaded the route and extracted it without problems using WinZip version 8.I'm generating a full install version for those of you with the patience to download such a large file. It'll get tested thoroughly before it's uploaded. As for the signal issue, I have a fix and it should be in the library in the next day or two.Craig

RE: Clinton Sub

Craig as it turns out the only real problem I had was the fact you had to have newroads 3.0 and xtrack 3.10. You probably need to put that in the readme.txt. Now that I fixed that slight problem the route works great and it looks awesome. Great job. Tim Swearingen

RE: Clinton Sub

Finally got this excellent route running! The problem I believe was lack documentation for the requirement of XTracks V3.10 (or later) and latest version of Newroads. References to these requirements within the .diz and Readme first.txt were NOT found (at least not in the files I downloaded).I subsequently discovered these extra file requirements by coming across a reference to them in a recent forum topic. So, installing - Xtracks, Newroads, Clinton Subdivision files (using Winzip or Winrar or Powerarchiver etc for unzipping the files), and running the installme.bat file, the route installed OK and runs fine (so far).I also used Route Riter to check the route, and it reported no errors AFTER installation of XTracks and Newroads. However, first time installation without having XTracks and Newroads installed produced a lot of missing shape file errors, which is when I checked the forums for guidance.

I had two installation problems; first I couldn't locate any reference to the requirement for Invisocar to run the UP activities. That was easily fixed when I installed Invisocar. The big problem was apparently a zip file that was corrupted during the download. Based on reading some of the other threads I'm not alone in this. Once I figured out which file it was and downloaded a second copy I had no problems. And I'll say here the route is definitely worth the effort. Very well done!

RE: Clinton Sub

Craig,I had no trouble getting the route up and running on my end. I extracted it with WinRAR, and was running trains in no time. I do believe that I have just about every track and road add-on installed, so that may have helped a bit.In any event, I think you have produced a real winner. Thank you for sharing it with us "route building-challenged" folk out here! One question: Is anyone working on some proper CNW activities for it?Thanks again,Henry

RE: Clinton Sub

I think Kevin is working on several activities that will use the Dekosoft CNW Super Set. He has a couple of Beta's posted over on the 3DTrains web-site. They can be found under the Lone Wolf section of the Forum. (Note, the 3dTrains forum's seem to be down at this time) These activities are in the beta stage and use many of the usual downloads required for most of his activities.

RE: Clinton Sub

HI:
Just down loaded the full install. Everything is working just fine. It made home sick for Iowa. I was born in Ames IA, and the CNW went behind my Uncle house on it way to Albert Lee. You did a great job.
