After downloading and installing the BN DTTX Stax cars, I get a error message saying "train database error, BNDTTX...and then I think it mentioned car B1, or something to that effect. Has anyone else had this problem. I downloaded the CSX cars that were uploaded a few days ago, and they seem to work fine. If a file missing on the BN cars?Chris Bogley Syracuse New Yorkwww.msnusers.com/cnytrains www.msnusers.com/ashleyphotography
Chris: Are they the DTTX cars by Mark Toland? If so, they I believe people were getting the "failed to find DTTX.SMS" error. The fix was to put the DTTX.SMS file in the /Sound folder in the Train Simulator file. Here's an excerpt from the readme: YOU MUST COPY THE FILE “DTTX.SMS” TO THE ~ \Train Simulator\Sound ~ FOLDER)
No, its not the sound thing. I forgot to do that with the CSX ones, and I was still able to click "OK"...45 times...and operate the train. With the BN cars, It won't even save the consist you made using them, and I get a error message everytime I fire up the sim now.Chris Bogley Syracuse New Yorkwww.msnusers.com/cnytrains www.msnusers.com/ashleyphotography
Error reading train database fileFile: Trains\Trainset\dttxbnsf\ttbnsf-unit5-B1.wagWhatever the problem is, it won't even allow me to add the cars to a consist, or at least save it as such. It kicks me out.Chris Bogley Syracuse New Yorkwww.msnusers.com/cnytrains www.msnusers.com/ashleyphotography
Chris: I had the same error message a while back. The newest version of Conbuilder found it. Conbuilders error log said the wagon file ttbnsfs-unit5-bl.wag contains an error on the line "Wagon " ( and so it couldn't be added to the wagons list. Most probably this line is stating a name different from its file name. If you check that file you will find it listed like this: ttbnsfs-unit5-b1 and it should be ttbnsf-unit5-b1. That cured the error message for me. Dennis
