Chuck Schneider kindly giving his permission to let John Hopkins and me release Cyndi's last project in honour of her memory, her customised CAB VIEWS version of the BNSFLADY DASH-9 should be available in the File Library within a couple of days, replacing the earlier version which came without them. Not sure whether Nels will retain the previous ZIP File name, but if you search for Wipfel you should find it easily. But make sure that the ZIP File date is the 14th of August or later.Impatient ones can download it from: www.otto-wipfel.co.uk/downloads/bnsflady-d9.zip It is completely self-contained and will run copied into any MSTS TRAINS Folder, having a Consist for it too.Happy Railroading CYNDI and Friends ! Good deal Otto, glad you are making this available for everyone. Of course I already have this version as she sent it to me a while back, sorry Chuck but she sent it to me as a friend. I didn't redistribute it in case you wanted to know. Oh wait, yes I did. I sent a copy of it to her grandson Matt with his name on the door as I thought it would cheer him up some as he was pretty bummed out about everything. His mother said he loved it, and now you will love it too. I never thought myself of making it available so am glad Otto thought about it. I think he and I and there may have been a few others were the only ones with this version. It is very well done and if you were a friend of Cyndi's or just someone who appreciated all of the help she gave others here and on 3dtrains then I would download this engine as a tribute. I run it once a day in her honor.
Thanks again Otto for making this available for everyone. I don't know about you but I still miss her terribly. Her daily emails brightened up my life. Now......But I do hear from her daughter, Lisa and grandson, Matt from time to time and that makes me feel better. A very bright light was extinguished with her passing and it is a little darker in here because of it. Everyone. Please download this BNSFLady engine. And hey, how about some pics of her running as the lead unit. See how many pics from different people we can get. I think that would be great. Again, thanks Otto! It's a fitting tribute to a very wonderful lady!I just thought of something else she sent me with it and I was just wondering if it was included in the download. She sent me some batch files that when run would sound a voice warning when you were exceeding the speed limit. There are four voices you can choose from to make that sound. One is hers, one is her husbands, one is her daughters and I think the other is her son in law's voice. I think that's what she told me. I think it would be a nice thing to include with it. Just an idea anyway, Otto. I like it and it works just fine. Tim"May the great BNSF 38 pumpkin carry you to your new home, Cyndi and may you engineer her for an eternity"

RE: BNSFLADY DASH-9 Update

Hi Tim !I was looking forward very much to meeting her during my next visit to the States, the two of us having been very much alike in many things. She would have been great company to be with and no doubt all her family as well !Yes, John Hopkins sent me Cyndi's Overspeed Sounds and I enjoy listening to her, her husband's and Lisa's voices. But as these sounds would have required the NAWL-GE sounds as well I did not have and did not expect many others to have either, I decided to leave them out in order to create a completely self-contained version of her BNSFLADY, independent of any other files.Take Care and remember what she told you to do whenever you had problems !O t t o.

>either, Hi Otto, Just as a small matter of clarification, according to the file library, there have been 13,137 downloads of the GE Megapack which includes the GE sounds that Cyndi used....
Not exactly "not many others" is it?

Thanks, OTTODAD, for taking such care of Cyndi's memory.Bnsflady Dash-9 Update – image 4Well, Otto, Chuck is right, quite a few fans have installed NALW GE Megapack (GEMEGAV2.ZIP) into their TRAINSET, or archived it.Could somebody suggest a set of corresponding (aliased) sound files ?Or would standard sort of
Sound ( "../../common.snd/ge_fdl/alias/NS_GEeng.sms" )
resp
Sound ( "../../common.snd/ge_fdl/alias/NS_GEcab.sms" )

be true to Cyndi's own preferences ?Love and Peace

RE: BNSFLADY DASH-9 Update

Hi Moritz !I had that .sms but deleted it when I realised that I did not have the sounds it referred to. Was not aware of their origins until Chuck pointed it out ! If you can contact John Hopkins via one of his posts then I am sure he will E-Mail you what you need ! Mike Sinclair might have it too !Take Care, O t t o.
