I'm having two problems with some Train Sim work I have been doing.First is with doing some track additions to JAPAN 1 route....I've been developing tracks which add on from the "activity" Hakone line to the two un connected stations in the Shinjuku area. So far I have just moved buildings and successfully laid track. I have not touched track objects, crossings or roads except to delete all the block signals. Problem comes with the roads that have car spawners....I have added some vehicles (textures and shape files in proper folders, ID text line in car spawner.DAT....but running a Sim explore route, none of the vehicles show up in any of the car spawned roads??What can use adjustment or is done wrong???Second.....I've installed NALW's MP-54 download to my system...The CabView and Sound files are aliased to the "Common" folders, then aliased again to various parts of other default locos. I have the required default locos still in the system, as I get no error windows of missing files. I get the cab view fine....but none of the sounds, internal or external will pick up....nothing is head. Anyone have a similar problem or fix???Any help is appreciated.Replys appreciated off line at: bootednancy@hotmail.comThanks Doug
As to #1: You've probably not changed the number of total cars in the carspawn.dat(if it says "8" at the top, before the listing of the .s files, change it to the total number of listings you have. And remember, the last one has to be duplicated, or it won't show up.
Leiv Eiriksson was first - Christoffer Columbus used a Viking map!
As to the second make sure you have your sound sliders all the way up... Those sounds only use SL3 for the driven units...Chuck Schneider Chief Cook, Bottle Washer and (Virtual) CEO
Thasnks for the help with the problem....I checked the carspawn.dat file and everything checks out, then I tried another route, and discovered the same thing but I was also in Explore Route mode, so I guess it won't show cars unless there's an activity running??Doug
