I have installed IN 2.0 before, but I can't recall if it required New Roads. I thought it did, but didn't see anything in the read me file, yet when starting it up I get error messages regarding shapes date for road sections as I leave Western Springs. So is New Roads required?Chris Bogley Syracuse New Yorkwww.msnusers.com/cnytrains www.msnusers.com/ashleyphotography
Not sure off hand, can you give an example of the shapes missing? StevenStandardized \global\tsection.dat file now at build #25. Tsection Inquiries: tsection@train-sim.com

Can't recall exactly, but something to do with "failed to load extended shape data" and then it begins with "rd...and gives a length in meters. I installed NewRoads a little bit ago, and I still get the messages just after the first grade crossing out of Western Springs. 4 times now, same location. I ran the bat file, and I am pretty sure New Roads were installed correctly, so I am not sure what is wrong. I have installed the route before with no problems.Chris Bogley Syracuse New Yorkwww.msnusers.com/cnytrains www.msnusers.com/ashleyphotography
I have Xtracks, and the error messages have to do with roads. Like I said, they start off with a "rd", and then give a length in meters. It occurs when scenery attempts to load just north of the first grade crossing leaving Western Springs. If I didn't have XTracks installed, I wouldn't even be able to start up the route. Installed NewRoads yet again, no luck.Chris Bogley Syracuse New Yorkwww.msnusers.com/cnytrains www.msnusers.com/ashleyphotography
ChrisThose are part of Martyn's Residential Roads which are included with Newroads. Is it the shape(s) that are not loading or is it looking for the textures? StevenStandardized \global\tsection.dat file now at build #25. Tsection Inquiries: tsection@train-sim.com

It says "failure to load extended shape data"....or something to that extent. Not sure if "faulire or failed" is used, but something along those lines. I put the .s and.sd shapes in the Train Simulator GLOBAL folder, as instructed.Chris Bogley Syracuse New Yorkwww.msnusers.com/cnytrains www.msnusers.com/ashleyphotography
It sounds like the shape may be corrupted then, try running Route Riter and see what the verdict is. StevenStandardized \global\tsection.dat file now at build #25. Tsection Inquiries: tsection@train-sim.com
