About a year or so ago I re-skinned a USA GRAIN car from a photo of a heavily graffitied center-flow hopper. I have since lost the the photo of the prototype but found the original MSTS zip file. The prototype photo was a 3/4 quarter view, so I had do a lot of skewing and distorting to fit the image onto the shape. The end result turned out alot better than I anticipated... so I have decided to again make it available for a limited timeDue to the somewhat questionable appearance of this car I have made it available for viewing and downloading at http://www.bwfer.com/tagged.html .This is basically for the newer members of this forum who might desire to have this car in their inventory.Cheers
They move all kinds of wierd things in hopper cars. Several years ago I worked electromechanical maintenance for Chicago Transparent Products (plastic bags), and the plastic pellets (roughly half inch long, quarter inch diameter) were delivered to the factory in covered hopper cars. The bays at the bottom had 8 inch diameter pipes sticking out the sides, and the procedure was to unscrew the cap, hook up a hose connected to a gadget like a giant vacuum cleaner, and suck all the pellets out of the hopper cars and blow them up into silos.
