Are they all in your Train Simulator\TRAINS\CONSISTS folder ?"Re-Installing" does not do much unless MSTS has been "Un-Installed" first and at least it's ROOT folder has been deleted, not wiping out all the Add-On Routes, Rolling Stock and GLOBAL folders !It would be a good idea for anybody else planning to do anything drastic to ask a question here in the Forum first or face having to re-install all the Add-On stuff as well ! I uninstalled MSTS using the CD "uninstall" and then removed the
Train Simulator folder itself before re-installing. This is interesting because the exact same problem is also happening on
my other computer.... It's like those add-on files are not there

Deleting the Train Simulator folder you wiped out all your Add-On Routes and non-default Rolling Stock, not forgetting X-Tracks and the latest Tsection.dat for them if you had them installed !Back to the drawing board, I am afraid ! It has been mentioned over and over that before doing anything drastic, taking a BACK-UP is the order of the day !O t t oP.S.: With a bit of luck they might still be in your Recycle Bin if it was not too full already and could not store all these deletions ! Sort it by "Date Deleted" and Restore the required Folders if found.Lesson learned a long time ago was to "Empty" the Recycle Bin first before doing more deletions which may have to be reversed !

The disappearance of my non-default rolling stock from Con Builder
and MSTS Consist Editor turned out to me a network folder permissions
anomaly. Apparently both these softwares obey the XP network
permissions protocol and would not recognize folders that had been
tagged as not-shared. I had to recreate all the rolling stock folders from the original zips to fix it.
