When using RE I used to have my windows located as shown in the first picture picture. Then all of a sudden (I know I've been turning the windows off a few times) they are always placed as shon in the second picture on startup. Anyone out there know how to get them "back in norm. place"?Tnks in advance.

RE: Position of windows in RE

This looks as if you have the RE Window size fix enabled, allowing your RE window to occupy the whole screen. I use mine in this format as default, but when RE is opened the window stays at the default size until (usually) it is minimised and restored.
Go to the Window Fixer app (msts-scrz.exe) and set the window to 'default sixe' (532x646) and it should restore happiness to your RE.

RE: Position of windows in RE

I've been looking to make AE use 800X600 res instead of defaultly 1024X768 (tired of having to reset my screen res to 1024X768 just to use AE).-BeaverMon, AKA Ben-

The scrsz utility basically changes the Registry entries to reflect the desired window size. I'm wary of playing directly with RegEdit, but I do use a little shareware utility from the makers of AdAware (www.lavasoft.de) called RegHance which gives you an Explorer-like window and hierarchical menus which are much easier to navigate. You can edit the Registry values directly using this (they are 'Editor main window height' and 'Editor main window width') or even delete the keys altogether, and force the RE to recreate them. You can also force the position of all the other selector/information windows this way.

They always get "stuffed" right in the middle on top of each other every time I restart RE. No matter what I've done to try position and save their positions??

As I said earlier, you may have to delete all the 'Editor' Registry keys and let the program recreate them.

RE: Position of windows in RE

I've tweaked those intel formatted registry entry's back and forth. No matter what I do I can't seem to get RE to remember the position. Actually it looks more like it does not find any values and use whatever default it has been programmed with althought RE do update the registry upon leaving the program? Strange.....beats me...
