Lots of Error Messages, Send / Don't Send w/ Whitefish

It sure would be nice to have a route that is uploaded free of any bugs, but never the less, I get to MP 6 on the UP tracks of WF 5, the south end of the Sincliar siding, and I get about 12-15 error messages about textures files, too many to name, and then I get the send / don't send. Any ideas?Chris Bogley

No error messages over here. Did you follow the readme to the letter and ran that installme.bat file?

Yes, and BTW, if I did not, I wouldn't even have been able to start the route up. Going to run it again, and start at Sandpoint and run north. Maybe my luck will be better from there.Chris Bogley

I had the same problem with textures. Found them in MP31 and copied them over.

So, copy the TEXTURES folder over from MP? Then again, I only have the default MP loaded up, so that probally wouldn't work, or would it?Chris Bogley

Chris,Check your basics:I. make sure you have the six default routes installed (that have not had their texture and shapes files changed).2. Click the installme again.You see! It works! And when you have done that you can swap all of the Whitefish3 US2Fir1, firs1,2, US2AutoFir1,2 texture and shape files into Whitefish5 click OK to an overwrite. Mike

Hello guyssounds like its time to start up RouteRiter, point it to WF5 and click on "check route" - after all that's the fool-proof, quick and not dirty at all standard procedure to add any missing textures (such as night or winter textures which often get ommissed for whatever reason). The RR check should be the first thing to do with a newly installed route. Or the second, after letting it build the terrain buffers for the first run. I tend to forget it too, until the first send/don't send blows me out (happened to me on the UP branch too, but at the other end when coming up from Sandpoint, after about 10 miles of otherwise smooth running...)Lukas a.k.a Swissie

I forgot to say I ran RR on the route, thanks Swissie, just take some things for granted. Anyway it printed out about 25 missing textures with no replacements found in default files. I found all but 1 in Marias Pass 3.1. Check your other non default routes. If you can't find them, PM me with a list and I'll see what I can do.

25 missing textures?? Route sounds like a real winner. I do however wonder why not everyone has this problem. 1300+ d/l's and only but a handful of us are having issues.Chris Bogley
