I went on a trip to Washington, D.C and got to ride on the Orange line of the Metro Rail. It would be so cool to actually drive those lines in MSTS.I did a search and nobody has attempted to make it yet? Hmm.

RE: Is there a Washington, D.C Metro Rail line for MSTS

The Northeast Corridor v4 includes at least one Metro line but it seems to be a composite of several lines rather than a replica of any particular route.I've been working on the Richmond, Fredericksburg & Potomac for over two years and still have a few months to go. It will have the parallel Metro lines from Springfield and Huntington to Reagan National Airport, about 12 miles total, driveable, though it will have to be with other transit equipment unless somebody makes a Metro train for us.

Sounds like a cool route.Love to see a 6-car custom consist, maybe with those blinking colored lights on the sides and the line name on it.

As said above, the NEC 4 contains a rough Metrorail line, but its better than nothing. It doesn't really resemble the real thing, but it's still fun to run. I have ridden the Metro for years. There is a Chicago railcar, I can't recall the file name that is about as close as you will get to running a metro train.Chris Bogley

Problem with Metro Rail Activity! Game locks up after c

LAST EDITED ON Aug-06-04 AT 11:43 PM (EST)

I redownload NEC4 and downloaded a Metro Rail activity that covers from Judiciary Square and New Carrollton.Funny thing is, according to the official Metro Rail System Map...Judiciary Square and Union Station are on the Red line, but Federal Center is on the Orange/Blue line? How is that possiable? "invisible" tunnel that connects to the Orange and Blue lines from the Red line? Also, I ran into an issue after completing the Metro Rail activity after stopping at New Carrollton, once the passengers stop boarding, the game freezes up instead of telling me of "Activity Completed".
Fortunally it didn't freeze up my SYSTEM. I was able to close it with little hassle.

I didn't get to see that far down the line unfortunally so I don't know, we stopped at Federal Triangle.
