RE: Trainsim exits in one second back to windows

You say you "re-installed" MSTS ? For what reason ?Before re-installing did you un-install MSTS and delete the "Train Simulator" folder ?Some Graphics Card drivers have been know to interfere with MSTS. Which card and driver are you using ? O t t o

RE: Trainsim exits in one second back to windows

Hi Carsten !Un-install MSTS once more and delete the entire "Train Simulator" folder. To make sure that the Registry got the message re-start your machine from cold and install again. From the original MSTS CDs ?Installed O.K. and Shortcut is on the Desktop ? Run the Train Simulator Trouble Shooter / Change Video Driver option from Start/Programs/Microsoft Games/Train Simulator. The card is top notch and should give MSTS no problems.O t t o

You say nothing happens when you hit any key on the keyboard? I had the same problem a while ago. I deleted the startup video file (somewhere in "global") and now it runs fine. Don't know why, but I had the idea from here.------------------------------

RE: Trainsim exits in one second back to windows

Hi Jan !Wow, that worked. After deleting the startup file, all keys function well. The only problem still exists is that if i enter the desktop during the game and then want to go back into the game by alt tab the simulator ends in one second without error....Carsten

RE: Trainsim exits in one second back to windows

Hi Carsten !Have you got something else running in the Background such as a Screen Grabber which could be the cause, MSTS not really liking certain other programs being active at the same time !O t t o
