Jack, it is easy.
First open the folder of the engine you want.
Write down the NAME of the Folder of the engine.
Write down the NAME of the ???.eng file in the same folder
Then open the consist file you want to change with Notepad or Wordpad for Win98.
delete the entry of the engine you want to change,
Something like engine ( GP38 GP38 )
Leave the brackets.Type in the Name of the ???.eng file first, without the .eng.
As second entry type in the Name of the engine folder, as it is in your trainset folder. It might be different from the .eng file.
Make sure you have the space between the brackets and the two names
That should do it. Save and run
Ted
